There once was a time when my Moto Droid was actually bearable to use. It's not like it's gotten laggier over the years. It's just that I didn't know any better at the time. For 90% of the world, they'll never know any better, and when they compare a Tango phone to sh1tty Android phones, it will feel like they're using a high-end device.

And thus, when I tell people my iPhone is fast and fluid, they tell me their Moto Droid is fast and fluid because they haven't used an iPhone and think that swiping your finger across the screen only to have the phone acknowledge you've done so about 2 seconds later to be "normal." When I swipe between screens on my iPhone it takes exactly two swipes to move two screens. On every Android based phone I've used, it takes at least 3 swipes because the stupid thing can't keep up. So yah, people have been conditioned to accept crap as good.
