Edit: I guess I misinterpreted this story.

While aborted fetal cells aren't actually in the product itself, the close relationship is enough to repulse most consumers.

Anyway, the only thing I find objectionable is that the cells could probably be used for something more worthwhile than trying to make Pepsi Cola taste better.

I thought the taste of Pepsi was already enough to repulse most customers?

So the company used stem cells from fetuses to create taste receptors in order to better test new flavor research. This is a problem why? The fetuses are already aborted. This is a better use than just throwing them in the trash.

Still, as a public company, Pepsi should put the issue to a shareholder vote.

If someone finds a name change petition to change "Pepsi" to "Soylent Green", let us know.
