I guess so many good people have left Microsoft in the past few years that no one cares anymore. The guy has done some great work that many of us use each and every day.

Companies have churn, staff leave and staff join. I like Phil Haack, especially the way he interacts with Hanselman when presenting, but a single employee leaving Microsoft is not indicative of anything, much less some sort of terminal decline which you are implying.

Exactly. This is not indicative of any decline in MS. In fact, some of the cool stuff coming is very cool. It's just something interesting for me that I want to try my hand at.
