In the new Channel 9 design, we removed a lot of text from the homepage, which makes for a cleaner look. It probably would be helpful though to know more about a video before watching it. So we've added an 'info box' that appears when you hover over the thumbnail for a video.
We continue to add features, squash bugs, so please keep adding new items and voting up the ones you like over on Connect.

Looks great! I'd appreciate it if you could have the little box show up when I hover over the name of the video too since I'm used to doing that to view links' title attribute.
