I figured you'd be more inclined to have Microsoft dis-allow downloading everything since any download puts a PC at risk for infection. Of course Microsoft would take the blame for a user's poor choices and the badmouthing of IE would continue. Oh the poor IE team; they can never win...

Metro IE doesn't have plugins. Get over it.
