Smoothest switch ever

Ooh - it's all clean & swish. 

 Yikes! looks great. The video runs so smoothly on here. Did i just come to the right site? I was looking for Channel 9. The site is very very easy to use and fast.

I'm a bit agoraphobic, and I'm damn concerned with the distinct lack of busyness.

Perhaps you could fill it with some sergio argoines doodles?

Honestly, I go away for a couple of days and you rearrange the furniture behind my back!

Now that was corny.

Holy crap the site is fast and actually works.

Well, it's very nice. It's still quite slow, a bit better than the review but not great. One thing that's annoying because of that is that there's no forums dropdown anymore. Now if I want to go from the Coffeehouse to Techoff or from the front page to any forum I have to go through a separate page which takes another 3 seconds to load.

Also, clicking the circle icons to go to the first unread post does not work despite the fact that my item on Connect about that was marked as fixed.

Refreshingly devoid of animated crap.

Still like the new UI, and the switch seemed smooth, so good job on that.

What I dislike is the lack of a forums dropdown or some other way to go directly to the Coffeehouse from the front page. I've visited the new C9 about twice since the switch and it's already annoying the hell out of me that I have to wait for that page to
load when I don't even need it. Also having to click the tiny little circle things in front of a thread to go to the last unread post is annoying, and it doesn't appear to work. Why did you guys remove the setting that did this when you simply clicked a thread
title? That worked like a charm.

Also, when you start typing a post, change your mind, remove all the text in the editor, and go somewhere else on the site, you get a "You didn't submit that form" message before leaving the page. No person in their right mind wants to submit an empty form.

I don't know. I like that the site actually works now and while it's in no way fast, it's faster than v4 which is wonderful. There's still a lot of finetuning to be done though, if you ask me.

Edit: also apparently when you submit a post you go back to the top of the page. Again, not as bad as v4 where your post simply didn't show up until you refreshed 50 times, but still annoying.

Also lots and lots of newlines being added when you edit a post. Back to Connect I guess...

Also also: the forum list incorrectly states that my last reply was in the Justifying Windows Phone 7 development thread.

How do I go to the last post I haven't read in a thread?  I can view *just* the last post in a thread, but I can't link straight to the last post (in the context of the thread).

[edit] Also, posting throws me back to the first page of the thread.  Not good.
