Bought it online from the MS store and it arrived within two days (I was expecting a delay given that the pre-orders sold out).
I got it out of the box and made sure it worked ... before putting it away again until Christmas when I can give to my wife and kids as the "family present" this year. 
I can see the box on the shelf now, taunting me.

Are they using the Zune you bought them a few years ago?

@Bass: There was a reported issue with Wifi and I wanted to make sure I had already downloaded the patch released last week before we opened it at Christmas.
Obviously Apple never have to release patches

Nice, I am sure they'll love it. However, I would really recommend getting familiar with all the capabilities, set things up and download some games in advance and make sure that they are age appropriate and all that ... It will probably take a week for you to get used to jt enough that you are able to answer their questions and what not.
