I agree, the word port used in blog is quite confusing. Because you can port a Xbox360 game to PS3, but, from the blog, you cannot port Xbox360 game to WOA? That's just so strange.
"Port" is, in the context of the blogpost, being used as a synonym for "recompile". If you read it in that sense the whole post makes a lot more sense. You can't simply recompile code and expect it to work. You could "port" it, in the more traditional sense, by adapting it to run on the WinRT platform.
