@evildictaitor:your whole response is based on lack of understanding of the limitations on WOA.  Even if you have full source code for an app (e.g. a full Win32 app that works perfectly under x64/x86) you will never be able to compile it for ARM.  Even if you could compile it you could never even run it.  Only Office 15 and IE10 (and various non-WinRT apps that ship with Windows such as calculator, etc) will ever be able to run on WOA.  That means that Microsoft has an exclusive on desktop apps on WOA.   So even if we wanted to write some little utility that zipped up Office files in desktop mode we couldn't.  Or, e.g. convert an Office file to PDF/a.  Basic stuff like that.  It's completely forbidden.  If we want any functionality that must be in desktop mode, we cannot.
