I got a Dremel multi-tool with a flexible shaft extension (oor-err Missus) that I can use on my Bonsai.
What did you get?

After my parents and my kid brother left, I got to do the dishes ![]()
@Ray7: Powertool were brought in my Bonsai Master Kimura fairly recently and have been taken up by the 'new wave' of bonsai professionals (who don't have time to mess about doing things by hand all the time). The wood carving has become something of an art-form in it's own right by people like Kevin Wilson
So I'm not cheating. ![]()

The BBC series Sherlock peaked my interest so I asked for, and got, a shed load of Sir ACD Books and Basil Rathbone DVDs.
(Oh, and I also managed to get Live Tile Browser and Live Tile News out the door which was like a Christmas present in itself).
@Ian2: I am an expert on all things relating to Sherlock Holmes, I have watched all the films and read every book (thrice). The recent TV series was great as it was a departure from the Granada series in the eighties, and more like the Basil Rathbone films as it was based around the stories and not a rigid interpretation, and the new Moriarty is something else.
Incidentally, anyone wanting eBooks, can get them here. This is legal because copyright is no longer in effect.
I still have not decided what I want, maybe an iMac or a car, but they tend never to be in the sales, I am penurious pre-Christmas, and always wait for the sales.
Just to point out that there was an advert for the new BBC Sherlock last night -- apparently starts at about 8pm on 01/01/2012.
Hooray!

I stand corrected.
"You must paint the fence, Daniel-San"
"Hey, no problem Mr Myagi!"
Mr. Miyagi: Show me wax-on, wax-off.
Daniel: Let me go get my Macbook Pro.

I got an ipad and some board games and clothes Posted from my iPad Which will apparently be obvious because the c9 post editor won't retain my line breaks
I got a paella pan, bourbon cocktail recipe book, Cooks Illustrated cookbook and a great winter hat.
So, the theme I've extracted from these gifts is something along the lines of:
Great drinking, great eating and keeping my head warm. I like it!
Happy holidays to all,

Birthday present that carried over into Christmas...an Xbox 360 with Kinect, Kinect Sports, Your Shape Fitness Kinect game (to compensate for a busy semester of no exercise).
Grey v-neck wool Lacoste sweater, grey cashmere scarf, blue-red large knit scarf, some fancy coffee and a lovely pair of black Persol 2720.
Oh, and for myself, a 11" Asus Zenbook ![]()
DVD: The IT crowd.
A cool fleece jacket from my wife, a golf club, some books and things for the house too from all the others. Really great christmas all around with the whole family.
@ZippyV: awesome!
@Maddus Mattus: I got that recently as well, but have only watched the first episode, with a "bird" (or should that be Lady) that knows nothing about IT, displaying all the qualities needed to project manage effectively, like talking to unconnected phones. I know someone I could tell that I had just installed voice activation on their PC and they would believe it.
