Steven Sinofsky addressed developer frustration and confusion about HTML5 vs Silverlight strategy

There's a pretty famous video out on the web that shows a small group of adolescent girls as they learn the winner of American Idol.  Each is holding or wearing some photo of the one singer that they want to win.  The actual winner is called out, and it turns out that the favorite of the little girls is not the winner.  What follows is so much of weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth and overblown drama that the video is quite humorous.

That video is solemn and dignified when compared to the reactions I've seen by otherwise adult developers over the last few weeks.
