Unless it's HEAVILY optimized over the desktop version, BlueStacks has an incredibly long way to go.  I don't know if it's poor emulation or if it's just a super complex process, but my computer (which could probably power a small country) runs most apps from BlueStacks so poorly they feel like trying to code in Eclipse.  Slow, unresponsive, sluggish, lethargic, and any other adjective that means "takes forever to respond."

Sounds like they have along way to go but looks promising. I've tried BlueStacks on several occasions (most recently about a month ago) and have to agree it's not ready for prime time. It would be great if they could get Android apps to work like RemoteApps and run natively in the desktop. I'd love to see it in a Windows 8 Store App shell too but I don't thing WinRT would pull its pants down for Android.

I've tried Bluestacks on 2 different machines this summer and it refused to run on one machine because the GPU wasn't good enough and after getting it to start on a slightly more modern machine it just ended restarting the entire OS with no warning. I haven't seen an app crash that way since the early XP days.

I like the concept though. I hope it keeps getting better.
