T4 Code Generators

I just stumbled across T4 generators today, I've never seen these before, and I'm surprised that there is next to zero information about them. Any one here use them for anything?  I would like to parse a typed dataset and create models for my WPF applications.

T4 is actually very popular at the moment, and seems everyone is using it. Here's just one example: http://www.scottlogic.co.uk/blog/colin/2009/08/declarative-dependency-property-definition-with-t4-dte/. You can find a lot more with no effort by searching. Lots of projects on CodePlex use T4. So, I'm surprised when you say "there is next to zero information" about it.

I wrote my own T4 templates to point to a SQL Server Database and generate

1. View Models (with Model Metadata info like [Required], [StringLength] based on SQL Schema)
2. Repository classes
3. Service classes

Cuts down a lot of tedious code for me and lets me focus on writing the important business logic code.

Microsoft MVP Dane Morgridge open sourced his T4 templates for generating Repository classes also.

If you Google for it, you'll see lots of blogs posts on T4 also.

Entity Framework is a heavy user of T4, along with ASP.Net MVC. 

@wkempf: Please excuse my hyperbole. A better thing to say would be that there is little official microsoft provided information on the topic, compared to the huge amount of potential for the technology.
