Just got back from an early preview showing - gets a broad thumbs up from me. Only thing I found a little jarring was Blane's overly loud 'Darth Vader like' voice.
(Definitely one to see before you get any spoilers though).

@Ian2: That's interesting about the voice. I'd read that they had gone through and redone the voice effect because people found it too quiet and muddled. Maybe they went the other direction.
Haven't seen it yet...have IMAX tickets for Fri evening.
@kettch: I guess it felt a little too loud and also didn't appear to emanate from the character himself. Will be interesting to hear what others think. (Needless to say that It doesn't spoil what is a great movie)

possibly the sound system is not setup right or needs a check, or possibly you were to close to one of the speakers ?
were you near the left or right wall or more in the center of the room ?
I was over to the left - other characters were fine though.
I got out to see it on Saturday. Amazing film, and a fitting end to the trilogy (although they did leave an opening for a possible sequel/spinoff). It's too bad that it will forever be attached to the actions of an insane man in Colorado.
I agree about Bane's voice. It was coming out of all channels instead of the center. It really felt like an "added in editing" voice instead of the character actually speaking. It was also hard to understand at points.
It seemed as though our theater had turned down the volume too, perhaps in response to the shooting in Colorado. I have to admit, I checked the exit doors during the shootout scenes.
I thought that's the whole point. His voice is like a god or something coming from all directions.
Didn't know the Colorado until the next day, so, I enjoyed the movie the fullest. Bane is quite desirable actually, too bad he has to be the bad guy.
This trilogy was quite the conception. I wonder how many teenage-oriented superhero and vampire movies we have to skip or suffer before another one of these more serious conceptions arise, insofar as this kind of fiction can be seen as serious. Still, Nolan rocks.
I finally saw it last night, and yeah the voice was definitely weird. I was more struck by how much he sounded like Deckard Cain.
