I won't say which conference it was, but Microsoft was a sponsor, and it was definitely not for hobbyists. Like I said I was the only person who tried to use Windows. It was at a University that's very hard to get into.
And I thought looking cool at Starbucks and making people jealous is so important to you.
I don't use my personal computers at work. Everything is sandboxed.
I don't do it, but I can imagine that if you put your work code on your personal devices, your job will eventually cry out "you stoledz our code, you stoldz our code!" or something to that effect. I don't want that to be an issue. Usually their code is so @ss bad you'd have to pay somebody to use it anyway. Hence why it's a job.
