Anyone went to see it yet? Is it interesting? It just came out over here and I am really tempted. The previews seem interesting.

I really liked it. The story was well-told, the acting was good, some scenes were visually very beautiful (like the rowing contest). And unlike most Hollywood movies, the technical details are accurate (operating systems, web browsers, code fragments, depiction of what programming really is).
-
Well made but even with the Directors best endevours I personally found it a little dull.
-
@TommyCarlier: Boston and Cambridge are really beautiful cities. I used to live there just a few years before Facebook was born and this is one of the reasons I wanted to watch the movie. Good to read that they actually paid attention to details. Hopefully I can find it in English.

@Ian2:Dull? in what way?
-
C'mon, did you even check the body count dude?
TBH The lead character got on my nerves.
-
@Ian2: How many spaceships and/or explosions are there?

Herbie
-
@Dr Herbie:Someone should blow up Mark Zuckerberg if he is anything like his character in the film.
-
@Ian2: That's a bit harsh. The Mark Zuckerberg I saw in the movie was a bit weird, but not really evil. He did something questionable, but I never really disliked him.
I actually disliked the Winklevosses as portrayed in the movie. In one scene, Mark is asked "You must really hate the Winklevosses?", at which he answers: "I don't hate anybody. The Winklevii aren't suing me for intellectual property theft. They're suing me because for the first time in their lives, things don't go exactly the way they were supposed to for them.", which is the same impression I have: bunch of rich brats.
And Sean Parker seems like a jerk.
-
@TommyCarlier: And Sean Parker still owns 7% of Facebook from doing nothing. Good deal.
-
I didn't really hate the Mark Z character he just got on my wick. Agreed that Sean Parker came across as a bit of a tosser.
-
I thought that the soundtrack worked very well as well
-
saw it last night.
I enjoyed it.
My wife liked it better than I did. Not really sure what that means though...
-
@Geoffreyk: I went to see it with a friend, and she admitted she had an odd kind of crush on the actor playing Mark Zuckerberg. Start interrogating your wife.

-
@TommyCarlier: I think Zuckerberg is a very carismatic person in some geeky way.
