Plot as good as before (suddenly everyone's immortal).

Possibly moving from an episodic layout (each week a new story) to a season-length plot? Not sure about that.

Seem to be moving from slightly quirky Cardiff setting to Washington DC -- might be turning into yet another Washington FBI/CIA drama. A cynical move to get a bigger US audience? Might be losing it's edge on originality.

Will still watch next week.

Ha ha, that sounds really boring. Members of the team died in the original series and this was really part of the story. Now what, yet another movie where everyone lives happily ever after? Perplexed

On a funny note, one of the CSPAN channels on my cable package shows english politics late at night.  I don't know if parliamentary government is better or worse, but it's awesome to watch the prime minister or other MP get called out by a room full of challengers to his/her policy.

We need more of that here.

I am hoping that the rendition is just a temporary thing....it will not *really* be TORCHWOOD if they do not go back and pickup with some of the old stuff from the first run of the story.
