Trello

Anyone here tried Trello.com? It's Joel Spolsky's latest marvel:  simple organisation of tasks into categories in a collaborative manner. 

I started using it last week for tracking the minutia of a new feature I'm working on and so far I'm impressed. I haven't used collaborative features yet -- I'm working on this feature as a solo task -- but the ability to quickly hack in a list of items into a website and have them instantly stored "in the cloud" (read "on Trello's servers"), makes it really handy for keeping track of stuff.

Oh, and it's free.

To me, what's interesting is that after StackOverflow, which was done on ASP.NET, they chose open non-Microsoft tools for this: node.js, backbone, mongodb.

Frankly I couldn't care less which technology someone else uses. It's a free tool that's very easy, simple to understand and very useful; more people should be designing tools with this level of usability whatever technology they use!

http://www.asana.com/ is another new, free team collaboration tool. Takes a different approach, but tries to solve the same problem as Trello.

Interestingly, it doesn't even bother supporting IE (not even IE9).

@Dr Herbie: We are using it at my job. It works but it seems a little bit slow on IE9. Or maybe it's my old pc.
