I seem to recall that I could not install the Phone tools. I don't need the emulator as I can use a real phone, and I also develop using Test Driven Devolopment and I can run or step through my code without the emulator or the phone for most of my code so far (until I need to use the graphics of course).

I have Windows 8 and VS 11 on my computer now, but I rarely boot into it specificaly because I can't do the phone stuff. And also because I can't record TV, as there is no Media Centre. Looking forward to a look at the media stuff in Windows 8 consumer preview.

Edit 01: I'm going to check what I do have installed.

Edit 02: I do have the phone tools installed. I remember now, I didn't have a successful install until I prevented the emulator to install.
