As a Silverlight hater i'd say: Spot on! The fanbois that make comparisons to the iPad are just thinking wishfully and are really hurting Microsoft, not helping it IMO.
Also, throwing more marketing is a complete waste of money, it would not change the fact that this isn't close to the iPad. Heck, even androids is having a really hard time against the iPad.
I'd say that SurfaceRT is a burning platform, except that Microsoft is certainly in no danger, they can keep throwing money at it for a few years. But a little humility would certainly not hurt.
