So I thought: "What category should the nominations be?" (I had also been drinking).

There are so few of us that you could easily create awards that could only be applicable to one or two of us. Personally, I would rather get a shout-out, on This Week on C9, for a good idea, than be the recipient of a general purpose award.

But I think having one big annual award is good for the community. It might be due to some type of cognitive bias, but, I did notice after the Nineys survey was posted, that most niners were more helpful. 

I wouldn't want to see people pandering for handouts. But, I think anything that encourages personal growth and community involvement would be a nice tradition to conclude the Mix conference.

Simple: people who spend time on C9 and also participate in the conversation. Typically, this means you have a C9 account, spend time interacting with your peers in the Coffeehouse or Tech Off or communicating on Video threads, etc. You are a Niner, for example, as our the folks posting on this thread....

Bottom line: if you have that many categories, you end up inviting basically everybody who's active on the forums (not that that's necessarily a bad thing Tongue Out ).
