What, no Romney/Obama thread?

OK, I admit it. I am posting non tech related here, but it is always an exciting time. I find myself staying up all night watching the election, as it is always absorbing.

So far, I know that Romney won the first TV debate and Obama the second. A few months back, Romney was written off, now, dare I say, it looks like he might do it. He does seem far much more charismatic, than initially reported.

I know that jobs and the economy look to be the decider, and the controversial health bill, how do you read it?

A walk in the park for Obama or the beginning of the end for him?

I agree with your debate "winners", but don't like either candidate. My libertarian leanings cause to me to dislike Obama's social programs, and Romney wants to bomb Iran, which wouldn't be good for anyone.

Right now, my vote is for Gary Johnson (Libertarian party candidate). I have no doubts that Obama will be re-elected.

Nah, i stay away from politics. It is more important to discuss tech and contribute innovations to the industry and make green green cash.

There are more important things to talk about like how to actually change the world rather than how likely two politicians claim they can change the world.

I'm not a big fan of either candidate, but Romney was a clear winner in the first debate and the second debate was a draw.  Obama needs to step up his game in the third debate if he wants to change the current momentum.

Canadian politics is easier, with all the parties we have, and they all have the same idiots, we just roll a 6 sided dice when we vote.

I hope Obama gets re-elected. The man was far from a perfect president (as if there is such a thing to begin with), but he's got to be better than Romney would be.

I really hope that America (U.S.A) works out its problems. I really don't want to have to learn Mandarin.

Good thing there are other powerful levels of government that make up the legislative system, meaning the Congress and the Senate.

In Canada, the Prime Minister has no extra power (relativly) than any other member that makes up the federal government that votes on bills/laws. Though of course there are nuances. It just seems like a single individual, the POTUS, has a great deal of power. This just causes me to belive that smaller government is better.

I belive that advanced technology, specifically with regards to computers and software, will help discover and or uncover the best way to run an economy, as computer models of economics, etc, become more advanced. So my conclusion is to concentrate on what Chanell 9 does best, and lets all move "Forward" on software advancement.
