Not very good? The onboard video on my G45 motherboard handles full-screen 1080p video with no issues. CPU stays under 15%.

On my laptop, the nVidia video card handles 1080p h.264 pretty well, with very low CPU usage. And then when you stop watching the video, about 25% of the time it BSODs the system. So yeah, I disabled hardware acceleration for video decoding.
