I just got an email from a friend (that attended Build with me last year) and he mentioned that will be no Microsoft's Developers Conference this year.
BTW, I don't know if this is true or not.

@ESgarbi:where did he get that info ?
A friend that knows a few people in Redmond and again I dont know how reliable this info is.
@ESgarbi:it could be possible, what should they talk about ? We know win8 en winphone8 dev story already, i think when they want to start talking about a WinRT update they will hold a large dev conference
I'm used attending the PDC (for several years now) and I never expect Microsoft to talk about current technologies. Maybe they are going back in doing PDC like conferences every 2 or 3 years like they used to.
Wow. Totally unexpected.
On Microsoft's campus... This is where they take you on a tour of Microsoft Research and you come mumbling a mantra about Sinofsky. ![]()
I'd figure Staples would hold twice as many people, no? I can see this BUILD being sold out quick.
@Harlequin: Yes, my thoughts too. How can they FIT all of us on campus?
Regardless, Seattle/Redmond I want to visit as often as possible. The coniferous forest there makes me feel like I'm on an alien planet. I could wander around out there for days this time of year, camera might overheat. Gorgeous forests > any event, imho.
Woohoo ... yes. I think I'll be going this time. ![]()
Will be going for this Build conference in Redmond!
I'd love to go...I just want to know pricing.
Based on the past pricing, should be around $1200 to $1500 range....

Eek. Never been to a tech conference before, but does that price include anything beyond the conference itself?
Food is probably guaranteed ![]()
@MasterPie:Right after you pay for conference, you need to hop onto websites and book hotel nearby.
Fee pays for the conference, they have free meals(breakfast/lunch), always a good party somewhere the 2nd or 3rd night, if there are vendors they always have swag you can grab.
Nothing yet has beat PDC 2005 when they rented Universal Studios =)
Edit: And they usually give something good away. I'll bet $100 everyone gets a Surface tablet. I doubt a Windows Phone 8, as I doubt any vendors will have any built in time.
Oooh, wonder if I can pull it off?
