Any one from Microsoft can confirm if there is going to be a PDC 2011? Many Microsoft hosted conferences (Mix, TechEd, SharePoint Conference) already have set dates... If there's going to be a PDC this year, knowing the date early will help planing for the attending (since regisration for corp. attendees like me required budget + travel planning and approvals)...

there has to be. its really a busy and critical year for microsoft and devdiv, they really need to win the developers for their new platforms: the phone, the tablets, the cloud, all the marketplaces, using the new frameworks: the native, the managed, and the web. apps are everything. only developers can save them.

No. Microsoft announced that the next developer conference will be then. They very carefully avoided mentioning PDC.

It seems like the September event is going be a rebranded PDC. Perhaps MS wants to start attracting the hobbyist and hacker developer communities by eliminating the "Professional" part of PDC.

maybe Windows Developers Conference, as some guessed.
Last time at Anaheim, we got Win32 and OLE2, Chicago and Cairo, expect something similiarly important for this one.
