i was seriously considering it until i saw windows 8. there are only a handful of apps i would use that would make the difference for me: nanostudio, ableton live, some other realtime audio apps. all other media consumption apps would probably be comparable across the platforms, but for my money, its the realtime high performance audio stuff that ios excels at.

if these app developers support touch in windows 8, then i'd rather have access to all the legacy desktop software that a windows tablet brings.
