The start screen doesn't bother me because I stopped using the start menu a long time ago. If I do click start (or more commonly hit the Windows key) it's only to type something in search.

But, that shouldn't be your personal decision to take away something that other people are using. Especially for mom and pop who are not good at finding and installing a custom made Start Menu.
