I am on the Windows Server 2012 product page I cannot find a link to the Windows Hyper-V Server 2012... (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/products.aspx) If I do a Bing or Google search, I easily find the page (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/hyper-v-server/default.aspx), but from the product page I cannot locate the link... Are they trying to hide it? Why?

What link are you looking for...what's not on the product page you mentioned?

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/hyper-v-server/giovanni is saying that there's no link to that product page from anywhere else. The only way to get to that page is through a search.

The link below is on the Windows Server 2012 product page, and it is about Hyper-V.
which is
and starts with
"Windows Server 2012 with Hyper-V is a virtualization platform... "
So your complaining that the specific link isn't on the Windows Server 2012 product page? The one that is http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/hyper-v-server/ ?
Why? @cbae: Oh. Hmm. Must be a compelling page, but I don't know why.

Hover over "Technology Solutions". Virtualization and Management menu item.

I don't see any link to the Hyper V Server product page from there either. From there, you can go to the Try It page, and there are links to download Windows Server 2012 and System Center 2012 and also links to virtual labs. But there is no link to download the standalone Hyper V Server.
I have a feeling this product is going to be killed in favor of Azure Virtual Machines.

Huh. I'm sure that went the Hyper-V server page before. Mind you I was waiting for the espresso machine to heat up when I posted it.

Ok, from the site you started with (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/products.aspx) I clicked on Server Virtualization > Technology Solutions > Virtualization & Management > IT Pros Start Here > Downloads
Yeah, that's messed up.
It looks like the microsoft.com/* site has become more of an executive summary for certain products, and for anything remotely technical you should always start at technet or msdn. The clue seems to be the "IT Pros/Developers Start Here" links.

If you're a Microsoft Partner there's probably someone in the Servers you can phone and have a chat with. Even if you're not a Partner, there's probably a Microsoft representative you can call.
