Windows Phone 8 at CES?

OK, Its a long shot but I saw a tweet this morning saying that within 24 hours the mobile industry was going to be rocked by an announcement.  then I just saw this announcement:

then this from Nokia:

I don't think so. Tango is coming up in the next few months, it's a minor WP7 update. And Apollo is the next WP7 update coming in late 2012 or so if not 2013. Haven't seen anything on a new OS.

While it would be odd to debut features for Apollo before Tango is released, it's not out of the realm of possibility. Especially since Tango is all about getting the OS on cheaper hardware, so there's probably not a lot to announce for that particular release. So it is possible we'll hear about WP8 tonight, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

Apollo would more than likely be talked about in BUILD 2012(when and where that is).

Maybe, but the claims that this makes it the "nicest pocket camera" etc. are overrated. Megapixels don't tell you much about the quality of the camera or the pictures it will take.

Megapixels are meaningless once you get above 4-5 (unless you're doing huge crops or blow-ups). It's all about lens quality and sensor size. Until they can fit a full-frame sensor and a nice glass lens in these phones, I'll continue to carry a separate camera.
