One day he shared with me that all Russian developers who come to the West have to deal with Star Trek. Technology has so many subtle references to Star Trek and many times we don't even realize it. But growing up in the USSR, he had never heard of Star Trek. He had been in the west for a year or two when he finally decided to sit down and watch as many episodes as he could, just so he could understand the references and understand what people were talking about. He said he enjoyed the shows.

Cool, BTW that episode was a very well done play on the whole issue of racism and how absurd and pointles it can be. so yea that one was VERY black and white Smiley

They gave us what we wanted and shared stories of how they shot people while conscripted (yeh).
