Andy you have to stop thinking about solving the metro created problems in a metro way. What I was referring to was putting the old start orb back into place just like it was in W7 and not try to "fix" the "start corner hotspot thumbnail thingy". If they add the start menu back on top of that they could add menu items for anything that's in charms that isn't available in the start menu. This also solved the problem with multiple monitors and discover. Simple. Problem solved.

And how does that  solve it when you are in a Metro app?
