Do you mind telling us who told you this?

Of course Google have no budget to hire developers that can fix the platform because they have no money, and also as we speak Android is outselling Microsoft in both Tablets and Phones to the extent that it is Microsoft that will be "toast" if things carry on as they are.

Don't forget that IE has released a number of critical patches within the last year that are of a far worse nature than the one linked to by magicalclick.

The US government will probably be banning these soon and then the snowball effect starts.  Microsoft is not even really considering Android a threat and does not have them as a competitor in the phone market in 5 years.   I also think Microsoft makes more money when an Android phone is sold than Google does because of the licensing deals with Samsung and others.

Considering there are so many more Android phones than other phones, the percentage of Android phones attacked would presumably be (much?) smaller. Then again, this is solely a statistic about the number of attacks caught by Kaspersky. How many were not caught? That 28% could be way low.

Not buying the 60% figure, but "an ounce of truth" is hyperbole at it's finest. Mr. Clemens must be smiling right about now.

As an aside, I've not seen much else posted by TexasToast thus far, but the personal attacks in this thread seem out of line.

My point is that there is Android and IPhone at the top and Microsoft wanting to move in.  Seems like Microsoft and Apple are at peace with each other but Google is open to battles.   Apple has already given a big offensive hit with its lawsuit against Samsung.   Microsoft is making a few bucks on every Android through strong arm licensing tactics.   Next is disinformation on Android's perceived openness and how hackers are taking advantage of it.
