		<description><![CDATA[<p>Bailed.&nbsp;</p><p>Fed up of waiting for trickles of information and each time there is a little news, It's bad. No dates, no info, now only 80g usable, 17w processors etc.. What's next at release? 3 hour life? an additional $200?&nbsp;</p><p>#fail thanks, but no thanks.. &nbsp;Surface really does feel like MS's client swan song. And you do nothing but get the back up of the people you are expecting to create the apps for it... which I also believe are now dwindling. Cheerio, it's been a journey.. will the last one out please switch off the light <img src='http://ecn.channel9.msdn.com/o9/content/images/emoticons/emotion-1.gif?v=c9' alt='Smiley' /> wishing you all the very best with your hobbies and careers.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>The Surface Pro looks nice as a takeaway device but I doubt anyone is going to use it as their primary development machine.&nbsp; On the other hand&nbsp;Ultrabooks make great dev machines, especially if you are like me and often &nbsp;like to code on your lap (the one downside I have found with the Surface is it isn't very usable on your lap for any length of time).</p>]]></description>

Makes it possible to use the tablet like a laptop, IMHO. The pull out mouse tray also means I can use a mouse with my laptop or maybe eventually with a Surface.</p><p>If I get a Surface, it will be a development device. I don't really care to develop for more than an hour or so with a laptop, so it will be used most of &quot;docked&quot; on my desktop, but with that tray, I can do the odd bit of development with the Surface in my lap.</p><p>I'm still not sold that the Surface is the Win8 device I'll get, though.</p>]]></description>

It fits into the same bag as your laptop when travelling, and can be used anywhere you'd be able to use a laptop.</p><p>It's not quite as portable as the Surface, though. I still think it will work nicely, but there is a bit of compromise here.</p>]]></description>

I'll admit I don't run VS on the Surface RT or have a Surface Pro, but it's the size of the screen that hurts when developing long before disk space or anything else gets into the equation.</p>]]></description>
