Congratulations -- hope you coped with all the stress but now you get the exciting bit as a reward for all the work!
It's nice to see you have all the essentials -- cooking pans, lamps, chairs, rubber chicken in a bikini ...
Herbie
@jamie: I figured the new house was why we haven't seen you in the Cofeehouse as much lately.
I see a Roland Juno 106 next to your computer. I've never owned a real synth that actually makes sound (well, other than Radio Shack stuff). I just use MIDI controllers like my Akai MPK49 and let the computer do all the sound creation. Virtual instruments are so much fun.
@jamie:Congrats! The house looks great.
I just love that the title tag of your picture page is "New Page 1" ... ![]()
@vesuvius: Hmm, deep fried in batter -- must be Scotland.
Are they Mars Bars? So is it Aberdeen?
Herbie
Congratulations!
But now I can't get the rubber chicken in bikini out of my head ![]()
@Dr Herbie: Correct, not that far though, it will be Edinburgh
My home town. For Edinburgh you'd want pictures of deep fired pizza. And brown 'chippy sauce'.
Do you know which part of town you're going to be living in? I'd avoid Pilton and Wester Hailes (see Trainspotting for reasons why)
.
I grew up in South Queensferry, just to the West of Edinburgh (we were a field's width away from the Forth Railway Bridge).
Herbie
No I have not decided yet, but the work will be in mid-lothian. I am just trying to enjoy some holiday time watching films etc, and not have to worry about organising anything.
I have no local knowledge so I will avoid Pilton and Wester Hailes. Thanks for the tip.
queens .. ferry? and youre married with kids!? ![]()
*this new site is stupid - that reply was to herbie
@jamie: Yes -- where the Queen (monarch) caught the boat (ferry). Very literal lot around there, no slang in the placenames ![]()
Herbie
Congrats Jamie. Seems like even yhe dog likes it. ![]()
