windows 8 copy&paste

does anyone know of a way to copy and paste in windows 8? I have been scanning in recipes and stuff that I lost in my old computer from superstorm sandy and although they are going into a folder on my new computer, I can't find a way to copy and paste them into my new recipe program, I've tried everything, I'm so upset I wasted my money on this computer I hate windows 8 it wont let you do anything like 7 or xp did

@vseawitch: Windows 8 deprecated the "C" and "V" keys from the keyboard so you're out of luck. Sorry.

They forgot to deprecate it on my Surface or I am not understanding something...

@vseawitch: I am afraid you need to be more specific because I don't understand your problem very well: are you trying to copy text from a scanned image? In what format? And you are trying to paste text or images into what program?

By the way, if I were you I would look for help on the Microsoft support page, they have a great forum for that.

@vseawitch: Copy and Paste is still there in Windows8, but just like Windows7 the program you are using needs to be coded to support it.

If you are having problems with a recipe program, either contact the developer via the Windows Store, or download a different one.
