worried about metro...

ill make it quick.  it looks boxy - like excel - like salesguys are designing it.

my experiece with it was that

- you cant right click anything
- tiles dont have properties
- you cant change or customise each tile -individualy
- you cant drag around tiles (like in a game)

this is the new windows?    anyone else worried?

edit: the honeycomb idea - doest look so bad now - if rendered in 3d - rotatable -space

Feel free to complain about it once it's been released, but until then, why not reserve judgement?

Metro is designed for touch, so no right click isn't surprising (though given that Win8 needs to straddle the fence here, I suspect right click gestures will be added before release).

Tiles shouldn't have properties.

Theoretically an app could let you change/customize the tiles via the app, but honestly I don't think it's a good idea.

You most certainly can drag the tiles around.

It's too early to be worried. Actually, as a developer I'm excited.

Well possibly, but it's been stated by the dev team that most of the customization work isn't in that build, so providing feedback on the lack of customization is a bit premature.

There is no "right click" guys, you now tap and hold....that's the new "right click"...same with the Windows Phone....tap and hold, tap and hold

Tap and hold like I said. Same goes for moving tiles.

You don't tap and hold to move or select tiles on Windows 8, you use the new cross-slide gesture instead. The Windows 8 touch language is different from the Windows Phone 7.x touch language. This video goes into more detail about the changes and the thinking behind them.

With the mouse it's right-click to select and the usual drag-and-drop gesture to move though, so I'm not sure what he's talking about there.
