Hi, how do i change the name displayed under my avatar on the left? I have it tied to my live account and i can't seem to change it. If it has to be done by an administrator then i'd like it to be set to Nfplee. Thanks

I've changed my display name to "Solomon" but it has not updated. Is this a bug? Is the display name not meant to be used with your avatar? Anyway, it would be nice if it could use what's set in the display name field.

Try these steps:
While signed in, click on 'Profile' in the upper right of this or any page.
Click on 'edit profile' in the yellow button under 'Subscribe to this feed'
About half way down the page is a field for 'Avatar caption', edit that and click one of the 'save' buttons
Let me know if you have troubles with any of these steps

Is there a way to delete or rename an account here?
I accidentally registered with a wrong LiveID from work

Now I can't get my account name for my real ID even if I "deactivate" it here

Display Name, I believe, is pretty much legacy from the last version of the website. We really only use Username on this version except on a user's profile page. We've built the functionality to allow users to change their own username but it hasn't been pushed up live yet. There was a bit of a snag last week - we had to make it work with VS Achievements which is tied to username but that was fixed so I would expect it to be pushed up live soon. In the meantime, you can email us with your old username and what you would like it to be changed to.

@Zueuk: If just you want to change the LiveID that is associated with your account and keep your username, set up a temporary new account with the LiveID that you want to keep and send us an email with both Usernames letting us know which you want to keep. We can move your LiveID association from the temporary account back to the old account and delete the temporary account. Hope that makes sense.

@Cara9 I'd like to switch LiveIDs as well and I've followed your instructions but I haven't received a reply and my account is still unchanged. Can you help?
