That's a bit worrying. IP addresses do not have a 1-1 correspondence with users. If I'm in a hotel can anyone else in the hotel log in as me without my password? How about some of the university students we have at C9? They'll have only a few IP addresses between them...

We *do* store cookies, but we do so by just asking the Live ID DLLs to write the cookies out for us (it is a method on the library). In the past we've seen this happening because of the Live ID Helper 'add-in' in Internet Explorer, but that may not be what is happening here.

I spoke too soon.  It doesn't actually sign me out.  I looked like it.  Because it says at first that it did, whereas yesterday it just redirected me to channel9.msdn.com right away.  When I try to sign out the second time you can see that there are two services I can't sign out of:

 

Of course, I did try to clear all of my cookies and close all browser windows ... it doesn't work.
