So in keeping with our naming process of 80's TV shows (AIM6 was Jeffersons) I wanted Thundercats so badly that I had made my own project and named it so.
Anyways Thundercats will eventually be released on our internal project network however I want to have things that people will enjoy using (AOL users and Non-AOL users alike).
So if you want to have perhaps some type of impact over new software please feel free to use and comment.
Installation: The installer is not built yet, download .zip, execute and run thundercats.exe from within thundercats folder.
REQUIRES AIM or an AIM application (GAIM, Trillian, etc)
Thundercats Release Notes
1) Released to Channel9 (Dec 3rd 06)
2) Updated December 7th 06
Known Bugs
1) When the first menuItem of the editableComboBox gadget has a value set at larger than the original box allowance the control overflows without staying within the box specification - filed.
2) When an AIM URL (aim:goIM) application is not installed on the system IM'ing will not perform any actions or throw an error
Fixed Bugs

Can you tell me what is thundercats?
Before I download a program and give feedback on it, what exactly does it do? -

Thundercats is primarily a web based "dock". If you hover over items (Mail, etc) it'll present you with a tooltip that has different providers, if you click on the provider of your choice it'll launch that service.
If you click on Internet or Search a URL or search bar will display, if you click on both of them they both show, or one at a time...click go or hit enter and it'll search/go on that parameter.
Once a window is launched you can navigate from that window as well or launch a new window via the dock. Besides that features will be developed as people request (and possible).

Update: Mon Dec 4th 06
1) Disable "Search via Yahoo!" and live.com untill dispatching by menuItem can be dynamically achieved from resources.dtd. Default search is now Google at the moment. Search engines will be added via XML Entities and loaded into a variable for basics dictionary.
Tomorrow I should be updating to get the menuItems to load properly, and will try to include solid color change implementation. -
Updated: Dec 07 2006
1) Thundercats now can use different search providers - If you would like to see any added please leave a comment
2) When selecting to IM someone you must have a AIM handler application installed.
3) Can now change color of menu bar and "dock" to a solid color. Will update later to allow changing to gradients (Themes). -

I may have to stop development on this as our Director got an eye of it and likes it as a demo. Please if you have tested it please provide some type of feedback if you have any.

I don't personally like this kind of app as I am a minimalist, however this was a decent app for its purpose.
But why would the director wanting to demo it mean you need to stop development? That seems stupid to me
Of course it would be cool for you to have a product go "live" for a big company.

They haven't asked to as of yet, however sometimes they wish to include proprietary pieces to it. While Boxely is mainly an open language any references that I make to properitary information can cause some issues if we don't want API's discovered, etc....
Having said that it hasn't happened yet and I plan on releasing another build as well.
