I can't seem to upload a new zip file. The file below is still the 1.2 version.

Nice little prog!! I used it to create my avatar.

Great way to bring the C9 community together. I like knowing where people are from. Maybe this could be ported to ASP.NET and integrated into the C9 profile?
-
or at least, where people say they're from (it's the paranoid network administrator in me

Presumably Charles has a list of profiles w/ country data, and the IP address the profile was created from. It would be interesting to cross-reference the IP through a GeoIP database and see how frequently the registration data matched the GeoIP data.
If this is accurate enough, the registration form could default to the detected country - save the user a step
There could be a checkbox for "make this country info public via an International Avatar" as well. -
You are experiencing a
shortdelay due to caching. -
If that was true then why is it still old in this thread?

nice little program

Excellent work.

I LOVE my avatar creator. THANKS!
-
Finally. I'll be uploading mine soon.

Wow!
Just what the world needs, a 20MByte application to create avatars! Of course! I see, it's a .Net application. That explains everything!
Pete
PS. 20Mbytes is the run time memory usage. Rather high, I thought, for what this application does. -
nice one sven.. very cool!
-
yay, i was wondering where these avatars came from, thx

-
Wouldn't it be nice if there was an online version of this application, built into Channel9?
-
Did I already mention you guys are cool?
When I built my last avatar, it was still manually putting images into Jamie's templates. First time I gave the creator a shot.
The only problem I had was that when I tried to get new templates from the web and had temporary problems with my proxy server, it took it almost a minute to timeout. Could you turn that down a bit?
Other than that - cool beans. -

Actually, there is - it's linked from the Edit Profile page, under the "Upload Avatar" form element.
EDIT: Hmmm, it appears to be down... W3bbo?

I have updated the three templates that are included with the C9IAC to fit the background colour of Channel9's new design. These updated templates can be found on the templates wiki page.
