There were a few of those the day before the actual conference started in Orlando last year about SQL etc. And those were interesting.

The pre-conference full-day seminars are interesting but would even be much better if they were hands-on (even with your own laptop). All day only listening to a presentation is tiring. That's also what I heard from other attendees every year. Are you guys considering that? Or is there a reason why you don't want to do it?

I have seen some questios about the transport from Madrid city to center to IFEMA, If you will stay in a hotel near to the "sol" train station, the best way to arrive IFEMA (teched place) could be to take a train from "sol" to "Nuevos Ministerios" and just after a metro from "Nuevos Ministerios" to Campo de las Naciones. The estimate duration for this route is more or less 30 minutes.

Make from the WiFi a real marketing point, to show that with windows servers and some really great hardware, you can have a wifi covering all the event, all the time.

I've done some other vendor agnostic courses to date but this year I've got my first shot at a TechEd Smiley

I'm from the UK and have the luxury of choosing which even I attend but I cant really find any description of the differences between the EU and the USA.

I'm after the best experience so can anyone tell me if there are any differences between them...

Is one bigger than the other?

Are the speakers the same or "better" in one or the other?

Are the tracks / sessions the same?

Is one conference just "better" than the rest?

I've tried to get some info from MS direst but understandably they are being a little coy in making recommendations Smiley
