Usually how far out are you able to register for sessions? A month? More? Less?
-
-
@ChrisW:I'm curious too.
-
You don't register for sessions, you just add them to your schedule. All are first come. There are only a few that usually require early attendance to get a seat. Some are very hard to get seats for. Some are just pretty crowded. Some are fairly empty. Adding them to your schedule helps with room planning. The schedule usually shows up much later. I think a little over a month prior last year. Hopefully someone working with the conference has some details. Even just some session info would be great. Or potential speakers.

@khaos13:That's good to know about how the sessions and schedules work. I've also been told that it's a first-come-first-serve basis and many sessions can fill up quickly.
-
@Harjit: Just as an FYI, the scheduling process, where you add sessions to your schedule, is how we plan out what size of room we need... so even if you don't need to 'reserve' a seat, it helps to plan your schedule in advance.
-
So is the schedule calendar online somewhere yet? If so, where or if not yet, when should be start picking sessions? I figure it's when things get closer, just wondering if there was a specific date yet.
-
@MikeRigsby Stay tuned as we get closer to the event for announcements regarding when the sessions have been posted and where you can build your agenda for the event.

Are there going to be pins? . . .

I hope there are going to be pins!

I hope people do setup their schedules early with the website and applications. One thing is that @DBegley and the TechEd team can do is determine if a room is not big enough for a given presentation and move it to a larger room or add an additional session as a repeat.
@DBegley - Can you confirm this?
-
One thing I remember last time we had Teched in New Orleans 2010, The conference rooms were really small, they filled up really quick... FYI..
-
Yes. I can confirm that we'll encourage everyone to set up their schedules early. It really helps the TechEd team plan the room capacities for the breakout sessions! The sessions and schedule builder are indeed coming soon. Announcements re: this will be posted on the forums, on twitter/facebook and sent to the TechEd Insiders.

How do we find out when and how we can create our schedule?
