how can we copy audio files from a site which do not allow to save the song on disk, rather only allows to listen to then online

Look for the cached copies of the audio files in the browser cache:
In IE, the cache location is:
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Logon User Name>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Or you can use some download manager tools available somewhere on the web.

There are many different ways to embed an audio file in a site. It would be helpful if you gave a specific example of a site.

Another way is to record the wave-out but uness its really short <1Minute don't use sound recorder. There are programs like replay radio that will do this automatically for you

One would think that there is a reason your not allowed to save the songs.
Make sure its legal before you try!

If its a Windows Media stream using the MMS protocol you can use software like SDP to save streams to disk.
I use it a lot, very useful for legitimate thingies!
