hello 9ers,
i am really wondering what the new visual studio can do for designers in regard to css and pixel precise layouts.
i know in .net 1.0 i had a hard time to a) format code becasue vss would reformat it and b) making the site look like i want -- pixel by pixel.
so at work we are reluctant to use asp.net partly because of those restrictions. is it really a nightmare for designers?
let's say i have a complete website layouted in photoshop, with slices and all those little things, and want to get it into an asp.net page. how do i proceed? what are "best practices" for making a pixel precise layout in vss?
are there alternatives? macromedia dreamweaver 8 does support asp.net, but apart from code highliting that's about it.
i'm just wondering where to start. it seems messy - or has been in the past at least.
thanks.
