I don't have an answer to your question but I would suggest that if you really want an answer you use a subject line which reflects the actual problem you're having. A post with a descriptive subject is a lot more likely to get viewed.

It's interesting to see how little most people can read. Really... Have you read the error message?
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: AgentLogin: User does not exist in the database.
User does not exist in database! Means the user doesn't exist in the database.
Have you talked to the people who have created the "AgentDesktop" software? What has Microsoft to do with, if you don't have the user who tries to log into the application in its database?
Cool that you provided so much information, about your installation and the software that throws the exception. Cool to cry in the first place without providing information

It may sound trite, but have you tried using a different authentication username/password combi?Stewie wrote:Error: Unable to login - make sure your domain\\user name is correctly configured in the system.
Application will exit now.
EDIT: Littleguru hit the nail on the head.
It looks like the SQL Server is setup to use SQL-Login as the authentication mechanism, yet you're using Integrated Windows Security. Contact your DBA to change the security settings to allow Windows authentication/access to the database

Very, very, very sad post (I mean original topic)...

Why? Because author is MVP!!!
And he can't solve such simple problem...
Yep, MSDN forums sucs, it's not a secret. They are absolutely useless.
But... Looks like some MVPs sucs too (not all of them, ofcoz). -

Don't you get an MVP just for spamming the Microsoft Usenet groups? Shouldn't MVP stand for "Most :v Poster"?

Please go read about CCF before giving such replies!! I can read errors and know what they mean!!!!
I suggest you learn about the products first.. btw It's more complicated than you infer.. basicaly btw the deployment guide is 146 pages...
Microsoft released the worst deployement guide ever!!!!! One more hint.. I have tried reaching most of MCS people in our region (MEA) but did'nt get any answers!!!
As for littleguru, do you think Ms would give me an MVP award in BizTalk and HIS if I can't understand such error message!!!!!
Please check what CCF fisrt:
http://www.microsoft.com/serviceproviders/solutions/ccf.mspx
Why I used such a common name for the post.. well so I make sure that people actualy come in and see that I need help from Microsoft for their own products and code and they are not providing any neither on MSDN forums nor on their community websites.. instead of makeing stupid notes about me.. it would be nice if you googled it in the first place.. at least try using google, maybe you'll find support and somebody will care and reply instead of live!!!
Thanks for nothing!!! -

What are 149 pages? That's not much.
Stewie wrote:Microsoft released the worst deployement guide ever!!!!! One more hint.. I have tried reaching most of MCS people in our region (MEA) but did'nt get any answers!!!
I had a guide to develop for a web service that was 300 pages of XML only... That's worser, I'm sure.

OK: Let's suppose you read the error message... Good you did that.
But what did you do next: cry, cry out loud like a little baby.
Next you didn't provide useful information to have other people understand and reproduce your error.
Next you named the thread in a way that nobody understands anything. The name of the thread doesn't attract people to help you. More likely makes people to ignore this thread.
Next MVP doesn't mean anything to me... There are so many over at the MSDN Forums that don't understand what they talk about. Some even tend to confuse people, just because they think they know it better then somebody else.
MVP doesn't say anything about qualification to me. "A person with one eye is the king of the blinds"
Stewie wrote:Thanks for nothing!!!
No problem
You are always welcome if you don't cry like a baby.

They give you the MVP by visibility... I have seen over there (by over there i mean the MSDN forums) people that just add another answer (if there is already one) to a thread to get it marked as answer and get points...
It's very disgusting. -

I know one such person on MSDN forums!!!
He has A LOT of posts! I've read some of them... "Useless" isn't enough... Most of them are just variations of "I don't understand why do you want to do this?"

I have seen quite a few that are doing that... -

That's actually what we don't understand too..

I wish that overuse of exclamation marks would qualify MVPs for revokation of their MVP status. That's something I expect from MySpace kiddiots.

I see your portmaneu and raise you a Jeff K.
EDIT: Hmm, maybe not, Jeff K. isn't a sincere character. I'll have to know more about "Stewie"[1]'s personality before passing judgement.
But like with MS Comic Sans, needless repetition of exclamation or question marks for emphasis just passes the author off as an ásshat to his learned audience.
[1] If that is his real name, his blog suggests differently

Did you miss a step in the installation, one that registers Agentdesktop.NET with Sql Server?
Any progress? Details? No need to panic!!!

To be fair, some users were bashing him for being an MVP and not knowing the answer... well if he isnt an MVP in the area that he is having problems with, is it really neccessary to tare him apart?

To be fair, a MVP should know how to post in a forum. An MVP is an outstanding community member, which has posted and helped a lot in communities (such as forums, news groups, ...)
