Can anyone tell me why in VB I have to go

Me.RichTextBox1.Font = New Font("Times New Roman", 12, FontStyle.Regular)


And not

Me.RichTextBox1.Font = Font.Times New Roman

or

Me.RichTextBox1.Font = Font("Times New Roman", 12, FontStyle.Regular)
