Im tring to install windows vista on a new custom pc. I start the system with the disk in and it then says windows is loading files... It gets to the end of the progress bar and then just stops freezes disk stops and it just sits there. Any help would
be appreaciated. I've waited quite some time and it just sit there.

i had a similar problem and turned out be an issue with my printer which is a canon pixma mp130 with usb hook ups once i unplugged the printer from the usb it was fine so i would try unhooking an un need peripherals until after your installation it worked for it might wirk for you

You might want to check how much RAM your computer has - it needs at least 512 MB to run the installer, as unlike the installed version, it cannot virtualize RAM without HD support.
The printer issue is likely to be that the printer is reserving memory addresses which the vista installer doesn't like, or that it is looking (and failing) to find drivers, or is trying to read off the printer as if it were a device.
You should unplug all unnessisary peripherals during vista setup, and make sure you are running with 512 MB RAM.
