Hi guys,
I'm having problems with WPF and have searched the web but can't find an answer so I'm hoping someone here can shed some light into this.
Basically, WPF is rendering rounded areas incorrectly. I wish I could upload a picture or something but the best way I can describe it is that on round shapes such as the ellipse, the edges have little protruding spikes (no more than 1-2 pixels long) that all
point to the right of the screen. In addition to that, all elements with rounded corners have the corners on the right side actually slightly bulge outwards to the right past the control.
This is pervalent in XAML pad, Blend, and even custom apps I've downloaded from the internet. Even the Blend interface itself exhibits these characteristics.
These problems are occuring in my home PC with Vista Ultimate installed. I have a GeForce 6800 ultra with the latest nVidia drivers installed and Aero Glass turned on. I figured that maybe it was a DirectX issue since most WPF rendering happens there and just
installed the latest DX version but that didn't help.
What irks me is that my work PC running an integrated video card and Windows XP does not exhibit this problem. I even made a small template to make a round button and tried it both at home and work. The work PC renders it properly but my home PC still has these
artifacts.
I also ran sfc /scannow from the command line but it found no problems. I've been trying to find a way to re-install .NET 3.0 on my Vista machine but haven't found a way to do so. The runtime installer that I downloaded from Microsoft said to go to control
panel and click on the "Turn windows features on or off" applet but the only .NET 3.0 things in there are two things related to HTTP and one item related to XPS. There's nothing about repairing or re-installing .NET 3.0.
I really want to fix this problem. I've gotten a late start on WPF and XAML but have been learning a lot of it over the past few days. I've absolutely fallen in love with this way of designing interfaces but the fact that I'm getting all of these visual artifacts
is disheartning.
Any help would be appreciated.

Woo, nevermind. Talk about taking a shot in the dark.
I figured I'd search anything related to PC-wide graphics adjustments and remembered that I had set some settings in the nVidia Control Panel. Did some testing and turns out that these artifacts happen when you configure the applet to force a level of anti-aliasing on all apps.
Turned it off and now I don't get them anymore
