Hi everybody!!
It has a been a while since I last visited the site, and I was really impressed by the reform! Well done!
Now my problem is this: I have a Windows Mobile application which requires WM 5.0 or WM 6.0 (in fact .NET CF 2.0)
I would like to show my application to a number of interested people, but it is common that some of them do not have a PDA to test it.
Having an emulator embedded in a web page would be great, but I haven't managed to do it! Anybody has any idea if this is possible?
Perhaps there is a tool which can be run online without requiring others to have the Emulator locally installed. Any other workarounds you can think of?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you

this might help:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=74473fd6-1dcc-47aa-ab28-6a2b006edfe9&DisplayLang=en#filelist
in includes a tool that is like an RDP session that puts a WM screen in a disktop window.
you can have it make the screen large for a better demo.
you could then use that to make screen caps, movies or use remotedesktop or logmein to show it to folks.
as I recall , I have used it but not recently, it will let you use the desktop mouse and keyboard to drive the device. -

I got my hands in the Power Tools, but an RDP solution is not a plausible one.
After all the mobile power toys are 'old' enough and there are a lot of problems with incompatibilities.
It would be great just to have a web interface so that users can launch the application locally.

have you tried running your app on a desktop pc? many apps will run on a desktop.kurt_godel said:

Yes I have.figuerres said:

But it is a pretty big application, some MBs of code.
Building it for desktop would mean re-building all components and recoding some critical parts.

I was going to suggest to install the Device Emulator on a Virtual PC instance, and use that, but the problem is now that Virtual PC has to be installed. Portable apps FTW.kurt_godel said:
