HI all!
I have recently been engaged in the creation of a new mobile application.
It is called Wi-Not Mobile, it is free and in short has 9 widgets, e.g. TV, Radio, IM, Games and more and was built in .NET Compact Framework 2.0
I would really much appreciate anyone that would take some time and test our app and I think Techoff is the right place with the right technical people!
The application homepage is http://www.wi-not.com
Thank you all in advance and I am eagerly waiting for your feedback!!

Hmm, well-executed UX design. I laud the product for showing that Microsoft's own UI guidelines aren't up to scratch.
Before I give it a try, how does it affect battery life? My Axim X51v's Wifi drains the battery like there's no tomorrow, Bluetooth is pretty much the same. How many hours non-stop playtime do you get? -
I put it on my HTC Touch Diamond but I didn't play much with it yet. A couple of remarks:
- Don't use flash on your home page because it doesn't load on my mobile browser (using Opera)
- When I launch the app for the first time i see a sign up page but it isn't scaled to use my full screen. I'll edit my post and put a picture on it later. -

and thank you for your comment.
About the UI I have to say this was a tough call. Microsoft's UI specs are indeed restricting and do not give so many choices to developers. On the other hand however some of them make much sense (e.g. the "Start" button should be available in case the application hangs up)
To meet these concerns, we added a 'Minimize' button which exits to WM without closing the application.
About the battery consumption this really depends on how you are using the application. There are no heavy background processes, so in a "rest state" there is no much battery consumption. However, if you watch TV or play a flash game, maybe there will be no tomorrow for your Axim!!
In these cases the WiFi card, the media player, or the flash engine can be heavy energy consumers. However, the most succint answer could be found trying the various features of the app.
thank you again for your kind feedback!

thanks a lot for your comment.
As I can see your HTC Diamond has a 480x640 which is 4x bigger than our prototype PDA screen format! It would be great if we could support all configurations but unfortunately there are some trade-offs that we had to consider. Normally this device, although released a month ago and running 6.1, could be supported, but the display specs are beyond our reach for now.
About the flash, our site does not yet track OS/browser type so for now it is intended to be accessible only from desktop browsers.
It was good to mention it though.
Thank you again very much.

I have checked the application and I can say that it is really amazing. Perfect UI and the features offered are all very nice. I enjoyed most the wi-lol since i could find almost any game i was looking for. However I think rating system here would be very helpful to users.
The only thing I mentioned is that when the internet connection speed of the mobile device is very low you cannot see the channel, instead you can only listen the audio part. Additionaly i cannot understand how my pages works.
Great efford pal...keep walking!!! -

The problem with streaming...This is a sad story. Wi-Not does not stream any content but it points to web links.
About the ranking system, this is a great idea! Certainly it makes sense!
Thank you!
